Clash of Empires Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

This policy explains how Plaban Gain (“we”) handles your information in the mobile game Clash of Empires (Android package com.clashofempires.game). By using the game you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

You can play the offline and local-network (LAN) modes without an account. The online features use a lightweight account: you can play as a guest, which creates a generated player ID, or sign in with Google, in which case we request only your email address (and receive your Google display name if one is available) to create and restore your account. For account holders we store a commander (display) name, a player ID, an Elo rating, match results and in-match replay data (the moves made during a match, used for match history, spectating and server-side anti-cheat validation), your friends list, friend requests, blocked players and “do not disturb” setting, a periodic online-presence signal sent while the game is open, the community maps you publish (with their titles and descriptions) and the maps you download. Our game server and Google receive your IP address as part of normal network requests. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which, with its partners, may collect a device advertising identifier, IP-derived coarse location, ad interactions and device information. Game settings, downloaded maps and campaign progress are stored only on your device.

How We Use Your Information

Your account and identity are used for matchmaking, ranked ladders, friends and invitations, attributing the maps you publish, and keeping likes and downloads to one per person. Replay data and server-side checks are used to detect cheating and abuse. We process your email and account data because it is necessary to provide the online service (a contractual necessity); we process security and anti-abuse data on the basis of our legitimate interest; and we process advertising data based on your consent (see Your Consent Choices) or, for non-personalised ads, our legitimate interest in operating the game. We do not sell your personal data, nor do we share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, except as managed through your ad consent choices.

Advertising

This game shows ads served by Google AdMob — a native ad in the Community Maps screen and a full-screen interstitial when a signed-in player downloads a community map. Google and its ad technology partners may collect device identifiers and other data to serve and measure ads, subject to the consent choice described below. See Google's privacy policy and the Google ad technology providers list for how that data is handled.

Your Consent Choices

Depending on your location, you may be shown a consent form (for users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland) or a privacy choices notice (for users in certain US states) before any ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time from within the game, using the “Ad Privacy Options” item in the Settings screen, where available.

International Data Transfers

Our game server and Google may process your data in a country different from yours, including the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or elsewhere with data-transfer restrictions, your data may still be processed outside that region; we rely on your consent and/or standard contractual safeguards for that transfer.

Data Retention

Account and gameplay data (identifiers, rating, match history, published maps, friends) is kept for as long as your account is active, or until you delete it (see Your Rights below). When you delete your account, the associated server records are removed, though copies may briefly persist in routine backups. Advertising data is retained by Google under its own policies. Data stored on your device remains until you clear it or uninstall the game.

Data Security

Account and profile operations use transport encryption, and gameplay is validated on the server. Access to administrative tools is restricted by role. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Clash of Empires is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad content is limited to a maximum rating suitable for teen audiences.

Your Rights, Including Account Deletion

You can view your commander name, player ID, linked email and rating in the Settings screen, and change your commander name there. Signed-in users can permanently delete their account and its server-side data using the “Delete Account” button in Settings; this removes your email address and personal account data. You can also play the offline and LAN modes, or play online as a guest, without signing in with Google. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you additionally have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Residents of California and certain other US states have the right to know, delete and correct their personal information and to opt out of “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; we do not sell personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the game after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
